WWE RAW RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR MAY 19I’m sick of people saying our music is too loud, they never stop complaining, try to turn us down. But if you want it louder we’ll turn it up full blast, they’ll never stop the music they’re living in the past. So if you need some action and nothing comes around, don’t call the doctor, turn up the sound! Play it loud in your neighbourhood, and I’ll liveblog this here pro wrestling show for you, folks.
The show opens with commentary hyping tonight’s show up, followed by a recap of last week’s Seth Rollins business.
The usual montage of talent arriving at the arena follows.
Logan Paul makes his entrance and gets on the mic.
He says it’s a fact that he’ll beat Jey Uso on Saturday and when he returns to the ring on the Raw after, he’ll be your new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Don’t like facts? He’s got more for you— Jey Uso is the current world champion, Jey Uso tapped GUNTHER out at WrestleMania.
He gets mad at the crowd for yeeting and continues, saying he won his first singles title twelve years faster than Uso did, Jey is barely hanging onto the title, and he’s knocked him out three times. So he’s gonna knock him out again on Saturday, and then he’ll be your new world champ—
Enter GUNTHER.
He says Logan Paul is very confident that he’s going to beat the man that beat him for the world title, so he has to assume that he thinks Logan’s better than him, too. Confidence is good, confidence is what drives us forward, and the crowd should give Paul more respect than they do.
Don’t be jealous that he’s a self-made social media megastar who built a digital empire with his own hands, and honestly there are things he can learn from Logan. Paul interrupts and says he’s in his green room all the time and they can chat. GUNTHER says he could improve his social media and he could learn from Logan’s mastery of marketing.
And so Logan Paul as WWE World Heavyweight Champion would be great for business. Logan says GUNTHER is basically in the Logang, and he definitely understands business. The Ring General says to Logan all of this may be business, but to him, everything that happens in this ring is very personal.
Beating Jey Uso for the world title is very personal to him, so if Paul takes that away from him, he’ll take it as personal disrespect, and just ask Pat McAfee how he reacts to getting disrespected by non-wrestlers. Pat at least showed some heart, but when he looks into Logan’s eyes, he sees no heart.
If Paul beats Jey Uso and then they square up, all of Logan’s other accolades will mean nothing because the bell will ring and GUNTHER will eat him alive!
GUNTHER leaves, Logan talks trash like he’s running away, Jey Uso appears behind him and takes his head off with a superkick! Jey gets on the mic briefly and says he’s gonna beat Logan on Saturday and then he’ll see the Ring General in Phoenix.
We get footage of Roxanne Perez signing her Raw contract with general manager Adam Pearce earlier tonight.
Commentary hypes up Money in the Bank qualifying matches.
Penta makes his entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial, Jey Uso is walking backstage when Paul Heyman flags him down to offer some facts rooted in wisdom.
Everyone says he betrayed CM Punk, he betrayed Roman Reigns, and to do that you have to stab someone in the back, do something untoward. So he wants to say this to his face so no one can accuse him of betrayed the world champion. So he’s going to fight Bron Breakker tonight in a non-title match, and Bron doesn’t want the title, he wants to slow his momentum.
And whether it’s him or Logan Paul or GUNTHER, the long-term plan for the World Heavyweight Championship is Seth Rollins.
AJ Styles & Penta vs. Judgment Day (Finn Balor & JD McDonagh)McDonagh and Styles to start, feeling out, big back body drop from AJ! Wristlock, roll through, roll back, waterwheel drop, sinking into an armbar! Styles shoots him off, in control, tag to Penta, big kick to the arm! Another kick to the arm, wristlock, Balor runs in to cut him off and then Zero hits quebradoras on both of ‘em!
Babyfaces clear the ring, fired up, stereo planchas as we go to break!
Back from commercial, Judgment Day in control and working Penta over, McDonagh gets him up top, back superplex countered into a crossbody and both men are down and out! Tags made, Styles running hot with forearms on Balor, Stinger Splash, fireman’s carry, Finn slips out with a rake of the eye, blind tag, Calf Killer locked in but JD accidentally splashes Balor to break it up!
AJ with a back suplex facebuster... SO CLOSE! To the floor, Styles with the moonsault inverted DDT, throwing JD back inside and Carlito throws AJ into the post as we go to break!
Back from commercial, Styles and Balor down and out, crawling desperate for their respective tags, they get them both, Penta with a diving crossbody! Lariats keep McDonagh off his feet, he snaps a tijeras off, McDonagh with a standing Spanish Fly and a tag to Finn! Balor goes for Coup de Grace, nobody home!
Zero laying kick combinations in, hooking Balor... SACRIFICE! Penta up top, Carlito runs interference, Styles takes Colon out but JD wipes him out with a suicide dive in turn! Penta hits a flip piledriver on the floor but El Grande Americano nails him with a headbutt from the crowd while referee Eddie Orengo is distracted! Balor off the top...
Judgment Day win by pinfall with Coup de Grace from Finn Balor on Penta.
IYO SKY is interviewed backstage and says she knows what it takes to win Money in the Bank and she’s ready for whoever wins.
Becky Lynch rolls up and points out SKY has never beaten her and they trade barbs.
Lynch makes her entrance and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Logan Paul is on the phone with somebody, trying to get himself a ride out of the arena.
Seth Rollins rolls up and says Jey Uso is gonna pay tonight, and come Saturday he’s not gonna be 100%, which means the odds are in Logan’s favor, and if he can get past Jey Uso and if he can get past GUNTHER, Seth will be waiting on the other side for him, and he’ll know who to thank for having that world title on his shoulder.
And maybe they run it back from WrestleMania a couple years ago, just with the title on the line. Think about it.
Becky Lynch vs. Natalya vs. Roxanne Perez (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)Feeling out, heels work together to take Natalya out, mat grappling among themselves, crossface countered, trading pins, Dis-Arm-Her reversed to a sunset flip! Back to the crossface, Nattie in with a dropkick to break it up, Perez sent to the floor, Sharpshooter reversed into Dis-Arm-Her but Roxanne breaks it up with the headscissors driver!
Handspring knee drop comes up empty, Neidhart kicked into a Manhandle Slam attempt, countered with a takedown! Slingshot Atomic Drop from Nattie, running stomp, boot to the face, Becky from behind, waistlock, standing switch, Lynch bails to the floor! Roxanne lays both her opponents out on the floor and we go to break!
Back from commercial, Natalya completes a side Russian legsweep with a discus lariat for two! Stacking both women up for a Sharpshooter but they kick her away! Perez lays both of ‘em out with kicks, moonsault... NOPE! Back and forth, Perez with a sunset flip that also sets off a German suplex but Becky breaks it up!
More back and forth, Neidhart with a Liger Bomb on Lynch for two, up top with Roxanne, superplex connects... SO CLOSE! Manhandle Slam connects but Lyra Valkyria pulls Becky off the cover and beats her down on the floor! Brawling, Lynch shoves her into the barricade and returns to the match!
Double leg from Nattie, Lyra pulls Becky out of the ring, Perez is ready...
Roxanne Perez wins by pinfall with Pop Rox on Natalya, qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
In the locker room, Sami Zayn greets Jey Uso.
He says he sees everything that’s going on, and he just wants Jey to know that he’s taking care of Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Paul Heyman on Saturday, and if they try to play the numbers game tonight, he’s got his back. They shake hands and Uso thanks Sami.
Kairi Sane is warming up backstage, as are Zoey Stark and Rhea Ripley, each in their own spaces of course.
Sheamus makes his entrance to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we get a recap of the Raw main event from 2012 where John Cena beat Michael Cole and poured barbecue sauce all over him,
Adam Pearce chats with Akira Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri backstage.
Pearce says Tozawa is cleared, so he has his match against Rusev next week.
Chad Gable rolls up to mock and scoff and asks when the Money in the Bank qualifying matches for him and Ivy Nile are happening.
New Day roll up to chat and say they all definitely don’t want War Raiders to win right, and Pearce tells them to take it literally anywhere else.
Grayson Waller vs. SheamusWaller probing kicks, duck under, big slap, Sheamus gives chase, out and back in, whip across, waistlock, side headlock from Waller. Waistlock, Celtic Warrior reverses, side headlock, into the corner, Grayson breaks dirty with a elbow! Strikes in the ropes, block the hip toss, and Sheamus cuts him down with a slap! Irish Curse connects, big biel, another one, throwing Waller to the floor and sending us to break!
Back from commercial, Waller with windmill chops, Sheamus fires up and turns him around for repeated overhand chops of his own! Theory runs interference and it backfires on Grayson! Corner lariats, big slam, cravate applied, hanging Waller over his shoulder and spinning him out! Double fishhook follows, Sheamus out to the apron and Grayson hits the Beats of the Bodhran!
Sheamus blocks, fireman’s carry... WHITE NOISE ON THE APRON! Waller decides to take a walk, Austin tries to convince him to stay in the match and all it does is get the Celtic Warrior to drag Grayson up on the apron for the Beats of the Bodhran! Theory cackling about it, Sheamus calls for it...
Sheamus wins by pinfall with the Brogue Kick.
Back from commercial, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee make a bet (on basketball?) where the loser will have to dress like the winner for a full episode of Raw.
We get “secret” footage from earlier today revealing Tyrese Haliburton will be a playable character in a DLC pack for WWE 2K25 and they interview him about that and about basketball.
GUNTHER is interviewed backstage but before he can say anything, Seth Rollins rolls up and interrupts.
Rollins says it’s been a while since they’ve shared a space and he just wanted to let him know that the work he did with his WWE World Heavyweight Championship was pretty good. GUNTHER says he’s short-sighted for a visionary, because the Ring General is the future around here.
Seth gets mad and gives it to him straight, saying if he wins the title again he will make himself a target. GUNTHER says he can’t wait, and in fact he eagerly awaits it.
Rhea Ripley makes her entrance and we go to break.
Kairi Sane vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Zoey Stark (Money in the Bank Qualifying Match)All three women looking for early pinfalls, Ripley blasts Sane with a German suplex and Stark dropkicks her into grounded punches! Back and forth feeling out, up and over into a tijeras from Kairi, fired up, Zoey goes for a missile dropkick but comes up lame in her knee!
Ringside doctor slides in to check on Zoey, the match grinds to a halt and we go to break.
Back from commercial, Ripley clubbing away at Sane, Zoey Stark having blown her knee out and making this effectively a one-on-one match. Rhea gets a nearfall, Kairi off the top, Ripley cuts her out of midair with a dropkick! Back and forth, uraken from Sane, kick puts Rhea into the corner, Kairi marching, sliding elbow in the corner!
Off the top with the elbow drop... KNEES UP! Slugging it out from their knees and to their feet, pumphandle...
Rhea Ripley wins by pinfall with Riptide on Kairi Sane, qualifying for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
Commentary hypes up next week’s show.
Rusev cuts a promo on Akira Tozawa, saying he admires his courage and his loyalty to his friends, but he is delusional to challenge him when he’s just trying to do what’s best for him and fix him. He embraces the challenge with open arms and says afterwards he’ll forgive Tozawa’s stupidity and forget his existence.
Bron Breakker and Paul Heyman are shown walking backstage to send us to break.
Back from commercial, we go to the Judgment Day clubhouse.
Finn Balor rolls up and gladhands but Raquel Rodriguez objects to Roxanne Perez being here. Balor tells everyone to relax and play nice, they’ve been chatting for a few weeks and he’d like to introduce Perez to the Judgment Day, and he’s been thinking about what Dominik said about adding more members.
Mysterio has Finn, JD, AND Carlito having his back, but Liv and Raquel don’t have anybody, and Roxanne isn’t a member just yet, she’s just helping out. Perez says she got everyone presents. She gives Dominik a gift box full of nuggies and Carlito a bag full of applies, and Rodriguez snaps and tells her to leave and says she’ll be telling Liv, which Finn can’t wait for.
Bron Breakker vs. “Main Event” Jey UsoBreakker wading in with strikes, shoulder blocks in the corner, Uso up and over and he clocks Bron with a right hand! Lariat sends Breakker to the floor and Jey dives on him after to send us to break!
Back from commercial, Breakker with a head of steam and a huge lariat! Bron presses his attack, big belly-to-belly suplex, Uso starts to put something together but Breakker catches him on a dive and throws him between the apron and the announce desk! Off the apron... BRON BREAKKER DIVING LARIAT!
Back from commercial, Breakker talking trash at full volume, demanding Uso hit him and he shrugs it off when he does! Jey slips out of a powerbomb, slugging it out in the middle of the ring, Bron lands a knee and Uso an enzuigiri! Off the ropes, pop-up Samoan drop... STILL NO! Up top, Breakker cuts him off, jockeying for position... AVALANCHE FRANKENSTEINER FOR TWO!
The straps are down, off the ropes, superkick cuts him down... BREAKKER KICKS OUT! Paul Heyman runs interference, Bron gets a chair but Uso cuts him off with a superkick! Stalking out after Heyman, Paul puts his dukes up and Seth Rollins attacks from behind...
Jey Uso wins by disqualification.
Post-match, Rollins and Breakker put boots to Uso until Sami Zayn makes the save as promised! Up on the apron, lining them up, the “CM Punk!” chants are thunderous—
Enter CM Punk!
Up on the apron with Sami, they exchange a look and hit the ring to brawl with Seth and Bron and send them packing! Brawling on the other side of the ring, heels faring somewhat better, isolating Zayn and taking him over the barricade! Punk dives off the barricade and rejoins the fight!
They brawl out into the crowd as the credits roll!
Jey Uso recovers and grabs his title... AND LOGAN PAUL APPEARS FROM OUT OF NOWHERE TO KNOCK HIM OUT AGAIN!
That’s the show, folks.
