10 candidatesAs many as 10 candidates were in the fray as Nilambur went to bypoll on June 19. Left Democratic Front (LDF) candidate M. Swaraj and United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate Aryadan Shoukath were the frontrunners as both political fronts took on each other fiercely.
All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) State convener P.V. Anvar, who contested as an Independent after he fell out with the LDF and quit his Assembly membership, has made huge claims about a potential victory.
