Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Wednesday (June 18, 2025) said that the country would never surrender, amid U.S. President Donald Trump’s post on social media saying “unconditional surrender”. The Ayatollah also warned the U.S. of “irreparable damage” if it joins the Israeli strikes on Iran.

When asked if the U.S. will join the Israeli strikes on Iran, he said, “I may do it, I may not do it. I mean, nobody knows what I’m going to do.”
Israeli warplanes pounded Iran’s capital, Tehran, overnight and into Wednesday (June 18, 2025) as Iran launched a small barrage of missiles at Israel with no reports of casualties. An Iranian official warned Wednesday that any U.S. intervention in the conflict would risk “all-out war.”

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump said the U.S. knows where Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding during the Israel-Iran conflict but doesn’t want him killed “for now.” Mr. Trump sought, in a social media posting, Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER”.
