Karnataka PCC decries raid on Minister Parameshwara’s institutions

KPCC spokesperson H.A. Venkatesh on Wednesday condemned the Directorate of Enforcement(ED) raid on the educational institutions led by senior politician and Home Minister G. Parameshwara. “It is apparent that this is a politically motivated action,” he alleged.
Mr. Venkatesh, in a statement here, said it is no secret that BJP leaders have been allegedly “misusing” central agencies like the ED, Income Tax Department, and CBI to suppress their political opponents. “Unable to tolerate the senior Dalit leader’s contributions to education and social upliftment, the BJP has resorted to this vindictive move out of jealousy,” charged Mr. Venkatesh.
“In the past too, a similar raid was carried out against Siddhartha institutions, which revealed no irregularities. Launching another raid appears to be a desperate act, exposing the intolerance of those in power,” he charged.
Despite knowing that this is a “politically motivated” action, BJP leader R. Ashoka’s demand for the resignation of the Home Minister is unacceptable, Mr. Venkatesh said.
