KEAM examination for engineering and pharmacy courses concludes

The State’s entrance examination for engineering and pharmacy courses, KEAM, for the 2025-26 academic year concluded on Tuesday (April 29, 2025).

The computer-based test was conducted across 192 venues in 134 examination centres in Kerala. Centres were also set up in Dubai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. The KEAM examination was held for the first time in Chennai and Bengaluru.

According to the office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, a total of 85,296 candidates appeared for the BTech entrance exam in Kerala, while 1,105 candidates attended from the five external centres.

For the BPharm entrance, 33,304 candidates wrote the examination in Kerala, and an additional 111 candidates took the test from the centres outside the State.

The KEAM entrance exam had transitioned to a fully online format in 2024. Compared to last year, there were considerably more computer laboratory facilities this year. This enabled most candidates to be allocated centres in their preferred districts.

In districts like Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Kannur, where adequate computer lab facilities were unavailable, temporary labs were established in Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD)-run colleges and schools with the support of KELTRON, official sources said.

Moreover, universities and the institutions functioning under the Technical Education department rescheduled their exams to provide lab facilities for the entrance examination.
